Tim Chu is the Director, Strategic Procurement at ConnectGen. He leads the Procurement of ConnectGen’s wind, solar and energy storage projects.
Tim is a procurement professional with over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy industry and procurement. He has been involved in the procurement of multiple GW of wind, solar and storage with annual spends of over 1 billion dollars. He has provided procurement leadership activities on projects throughout the United States as well as Chile, Canada, UK, China and Mexico.
Prior to joining ConnectGen, Tim served as head of renewable procurements in Engie North America where he oversaw the energy transition of Engie into a multiple GW renewable energy power producer from supporting acquisitions, procurement integration and leading the strategic procurement of the Engie renewable business unit. Tim has also worked in procurement in GE Energy and Renewables in various leaderships roles and Stem Energy Storage as Vice President Supply Chain. Tim holds a BS in Material Science engineering from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Wayne State Ilitch School of Business.
