Manager, Interconnection Services Coordination

ConnectGen is seeking a Manager, Interconnection Services Coordination, to manage interconnection and transmission service positions and requests across ConnectGen’s project portfolio.

This includes serving as the primary contact with Independent System Operators (ISOs) and Transmission Owners (TOs) for the Company’s generator interconnection queue and transmission service request positions; communicating deadlines and filing requirements to the appropriate project teams; managing submittals to ISOs and TOs; and ensuring all interconnection and transmission deadlines and requirements are met in an efficient and timely manner.  This position will report to the Senior Director, Transmission & Business Development, in ConnectGen’s Transmission group.


  • This position will be responsible for submitting completed interconnection requests to ISOs and TOs.
  • Coordinate the effort to move projects through the interconnection process and transmission service study process, communicating the schedule and budgetary and milestone requirements for projects as projects progress and interacting with third party consultants as required.
  • Maintain a detailed log of ConnectGen’s interconnection and transmission service requests by region, ISO and TO, including the progress of each request as it moves through the study process, deposits and application fees incurred, and links to relevant study work.
  • Serve as the interface between ISOs and TOs and ConnectGen project teams, including scheduling meetings with the ISOs and TOs to discuss interconnection and transmission service applications and study results, ensuring all required payments and deposits are processed in a timely manner, and facilitating the execution of all required study agreements.
  • Serve as ConnectGen’s OATI webCARES Security Officer and be responsible for managing the User Accounts for ConnectGen’s three registered transmission entities.
  • Establish procedures to ensure project milestones and required tasks are communicated to the appropriate ConnectGen project team members in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a calendar for each ISO and TO that includes study cluster timeframes, application fees and study deposits required as projects progress through the study process.
  • Support ConnectGen’s accounting team to track application payments and deposits to ensure costs are being allocated properly, and payments and refunds are sent and received in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed on proposed changes to interconnection procedures and requirements for ISOs and TOs and communicate changes and expected effects to the ConnectGen project teams.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Excellent balance of technical, organizational and management skills.
  • Acute attention to accuracy and detail in all aspects of responsibilities.
  • Professional presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent education and/or professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience concurrently coordinating and managing multiple projects across various company departments.
  • Experience in the electric industry working with ISOs/RTOs/Transmission Service Providers, NERC and FERC highly preferred.
