Associate, Human Resources

ConnectGen is looking for an HR Associate to join our growing and dynamic team in the Houston, Texas office. This role is responsible for supporting the Company’s human resource programs including, but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, benefits and training administration. This full-time role reports to the Manager, Human Resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage end to end recruitment process including:
    • Consulting with hiring managers on the requirements of vacant positions
    • Assisting with job descriptions
    • Utilizing various recruitment methods to source candidates (e.g., job boards, campus events and networking opportunities)
    • Coordinating interviews (in-person and virtual) for candidates and the hiring team
    • Screening candidate applications
    • Following up with candidates throughout the process
    • Preparing offer letters and managing post-offer logistics
    • Closing out positions with follow up to unsuccessful candidates
    • Liaising with staffing agencies as needed for identified positions
  • Support company internship and rotation programs, including the sourcing of candidates and coordinating internship activities.
  • Maintain employee database information and related filing for all new hires, status changes and other personnel information as required.
  • Assist with payroll and benefit administration including open enrollment.
  • Work with the Office Manager and select vendors to organize training programs.
  • Support other HR activities and strategic initiatives as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, payroll administration and general HR best practices.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required.
  • At least two years of human resources or related experience required.
